Travelling to Cossington

The village of Cossington lies about three miles from the M5, just to the north of the A39 road, between Bridgwater and Street.

If you come on the M5, take Exit 23 and follow the signposts to Glastonbury: follow the road for about a mile and then turn on to the A39. Then travel about 1½ miles; half a mile after a Texaco garage (on the left), turn left on the small road signposted to Cossington. After 400 yards you are in the centre of the village.

At the little triangle, don’t follow the main road (Middle Road) round to the right: keep left of the triangle. St Mary’s is immediately on your left: the gate to the Church Path is adjacent to the stone pillars of the Manor drive.

Normally you can park along Middle Road; for larger events, such as those in the Manor Garden Theatre, there will be signs to parking in a nearby field. Those with special needs can access the church via the Manor drive.

Should you require a taxi, you might try Polden Chauffeur Hire, Cossington: contact Steve Tubb (01278) 722733.
