Brahms Horn TrioSaturday 24 April, 7.30 pm Brahms Horn Trio Schumann Richard Bayliss studied the horn at the Royal Academy of Music with Derek Taylor and Andrew Clark. During this time he appeared as soloist with the RAM String Orchestra in Haydn's Concerto for two horns and Britten's Serenade for tenor, horn and strings. Richard has performed with many of the UK’s leading Orchestras, including the Royal Philharmonic, and Ulster Orchestra, London Mozart Players, English Chamber and Scottish Chamber Orchestras, and as a natural horn player he has performed with the Gabrieli Consort, English Baroque Soloists, and London Handel Orchestra. His interest in Chamber Music has led to recent performances of Mozart Quintet for horn and strings, and the York Bowen Quintet, and performances and recordings with the Golden Section Brass. Japanese violinist Arisa Fujita came to England in 1985 to study with David Takeno and in 1988 won the Audi Junior Musician Competition. She entered Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1991 where she won all available violin prizes, the Rose Bowl, Sheriff's Prize and a Silver Medal from the Worshipful Company of Musicians. She graduated with B.Mus (Hons) First Class Degree in 1995 and gained Concert Recital Diploma (Premier Prix) in 1998. Arisa has since performed concertos in London and abroad. With her two sisters, as the Fujita Piano Trio, she has performed the Beethoven Triple Concertos numerous times and together they have toured extensively performing piano trio repertoire. Sam Haywood began playing the piano at the age of six and by the age of thirteen he had won Second Prize in the BBC Young Musician of the Year competition. The Royal Philharmonic Society then awarded him their prestigious Isserlis Award, after which he moved to Vienna to study with Paul Badura-Skoda. At the Royal Academyof Music in London he studied with the Italian Schnabel-pupil Maria Curcio. Sam performs all over the world as concerto soloist, recitalist and chamber musician.
